three races, one perfect?

On a recent visit to China Pippen spoke to an educated Chinese gentleman who, being quite aware of the western belief that we all originated in Africa, steadfastly held to a belief that there were three races and that the Chinese are the superior race.

"I gained a very strong impression that the Chinese consider themselves to be different in a superior way from the other races on earth," says Pippen. "One Chinese gentleman actually told me that originally there were three races -- white, black and yellow -- and all were baked like bread. The white race was undercooked, the black race overcooked and the yellow race was perfect."

"Most Chinese do not believe that they, like everyone else on earth, originated in Africa," says Pippen. "Instead, they believe that they originated independently in the land of China, with the Peking Man of Zhoukoudian representing a phase in their unique evolution."

“He believed that the white race also originated independently in Europe,” says Pippen, “and that only the black race came from Africa.”

“With more and more Chinese emigrating to the west,” says Pippen, “I do hope they don’t bring their ‘superior’ racial beliefs with them because we have enough of our own, thank you very much!”
